Minigame

The carrot and the hare

My minigame project is coming along, it is still a work in progress.... I'm still trying to figure out how to use code to get it to do the things I want it to do. I still need to put a scoring system in and a bunch of other things.

Game Idea

This is an idea inspired by the sacrifices made by firefighters in their everyday line of work. The objective of the game is to save as many people as you can from a burning building by moving from side to side with a catchblanket. Its pretty simple, if someone hits the ground then you lose a life. If you lose 3 lives then the game is over. The game gradually gets harder with many levels and a level is completed when the allotted time runs out.

Game Review 2

The second game I played was "The Cost of Life." The game is about a family of 5 living in rural haiti and trying to pursue happiness. The objective of the game is to keep your family alive, get an education, and stay healthy and happy which is pretty hard in this game. You face challenges like disease, severe weather, and extreme poverty. When I played everyone in the family except for the father died and he was barely alive. The overall goal for making this game was to show people how hard the people in rural Haiti have it and their everyday struggle to survive.

Game Review 1

My impression of the game "September 12th" is that it is designed to make a statement about the war. The people who made the game wanted to say that it is wrong to go bomb Afganistan after the events of 9/11. The point being made is that by just bombing the country to get rid of the evil terrorists, innocent civilians are also getting killed in the process.

First Day

On the first day of class we got a syllabus, learned how to blog, and made our own blogs. In case you are wondering, I am just now posting this blog 2 weeks later because I was having problems with my e-mail on the first day.
